Stay Curious. Stay Kind

Hi, my name is David Kind and I’m a Masters in Divinity student at Pacific School of Religion. Before answering the call to ministry, I explored finance, marketing, communications, project management, psychology, and church administration.

Along the way, I championed financial literacy, partnered with a women's shelter to build a sustainable vegetable garden, advocated for more effective testing accommodations for students with disabilities, and refreshed church communications to increase engagement.

One of the clearest conclusions to emerge from these experiences is that nothing energizes me more than connecting people to ideas, to meaning, and to one another. And we do that by staying curious and kind.

In his poem, A Brief for the Defense, Jack Gilbert writes that we must "risk delight" and choose "stubborn gladness" despite the "relentless furnace of this world". And that is the heart of my calling: To help people join together despite our differences, choose joy, and embrace those at the periphery.
